EE-9 CASCAVEL SAYMAR Ltd. Has developed an upgrading kit for the early models of the CASCAVEL EE-9 which were using the now obsolete OM-352 engine. The upgrading kit main features includes the following:
New and powerful Mercedes engine, new air, electrical and improved braking systems, as well as new hydraulic driver seat, and much more.

The comprehensive modernization package provided by SAYMAR Ltd. enables operators of existing CASCAVEL EE-9 vehicles to acquire advanced fighting force and logistic capabilities at a fraction of the cost of the acquisition of new vehicles.

SAYMAR Ltd. Has also a refurbishment program that includes a comprehensive repair and reconditioning of the vehicle consisting of an overhaul for the engine, power drive, suspension, turret systems, main gun and all other hull systems.

The upgrading or refurbishment programs can be performed in SAYMAR's facilities or in the customer's country.

New major systems installed in the upgrading program:

1. Engine IInstallation of a new & powerful (190 HP) Mercedes-Benz OM 366 LA diesel engine, which provides the following assets:

• Commercially available engine, improves availability of maintenance, spare parts & logistics
• Reduced operational and maintenance costs
• Higher vehicle performance

2. Electrical System The state of the art system is designed to overcome operating and maintenance problems encountered with the original systems. The Improved electrical system meets the requirements of the modernized vehicles.

3. Braking system Saymar Ltd. has installed a new and modern braking system to overcome operating and maintenance difficulties, encountered in the operation of the original system. The new braking system is based on air assisting hydraulic enabling the user to operate the vehicle much easier and more safely. The new system features high standardization, better vehicle performance communality, and support. The new braking system will increase the driver's control over the vehicle.
